How to win a wedding like Harry and Meghan's

How to win a wedding like Harry and Meghan's

In May this year the spotlight will fall upon Royal sweethearts Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as they exchange vows at Windsor Castle. While the nation prepares to celebrate, one London hotel is choosing to mark the union in a very special way.

The renowned Art Deco Sheraton Grand London Park Lane hotel in Mayfair is offering one very lucky couple who share the same first names as the Prince and his bride-to-be the chance to marry in five-star luxury. To celebrate the impending Royal nuptials, the hotel’s wedding team is scouring the country for couples named Harry and Meghan (or Harry and Harry, or Meghan and Meghan) and giving them complimentary use of one of the most iconic wedding venues in the country.

The lucky couple will enjoy an opulent ceremony and fairy-tale reception, making full use of the spectacular 11,000sqft ballroom - the only full-sized Art Deco ballroom in London - a truly magical three-story, grade II listed space. A dedicated wedding planner will make sure everything runs smoothly while a registrar will marry ‘Harry and Meghan’ against a back drop of Regal splendour.

The couple will arrive in lavish style, whisked along the red-carpet and into the Silver Gallery, the hotel’s 70-year-old grand entrance to the ballroom, to enjoy a British sparkling wine reception. Then a sumptuous four-course dinner including wine will follow before ‘Harry and Meghan’ retire for the night, to the Grand Suite – the hotel’s most impressive residence.

Leading luxury wedding and lifestyle blog B.LOVED will be on hand to work with the lucky couple to help provide inspiration and bring to life their vision of a dream day along with consultations with Michelin trained executive chef James Dugan.
The couple will follow in the prestigious footsteps of high society, who enjoyed glamourous weddings, parties and dances in the ballroom of the hotel, a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace, during the post-war era. In popular culture, the space has provided the backdrop for films like Goldeneye, Revolver, and Titanic (1953 film).

To be eligible, the hotel, is looking for couples called Harry and Meghan, Harry and Harry or Meghan and Meghan, irrespective of the spelling, to get in touch on theotherharryandmeghan@sheratongrand.com. Hopefuls will need to introduce themselves and their partner, telling the story of how they met and submitting a recent photograph. Interested couples have from 09:00 on 14th February to 7th March 2018. The wedding of 'Harry and Meghan' will take place in May, a few weeks before the Royal couple exchange vows.

The lucky 'Harry and Meghan' will enjoy a comprehensive wedding suite including:
• Use of the stunning Art Deco Ballroom for 150 guests
• A grand red-carpet welcome with British Sparkling wine
• A sumptuous four-course meal with wine
• A registrar to conduct the marriage
• A wedding night stay in the hotel's most impressive residence, The Grand Suite • A dedicated wedding planner
• Consultation with Executive Chef
• Beautiful floral arrangements
• A wedding photographer
• A set of wedding 'essentials' such as tastings, menus and table plans
