October/November 2019 |
|
They say wedding season is typically over the summer months, however, I think autumn and winter nuptials are actually coming in to their own. I’m super excited to see the pastel colour palettes change to warm, earthy hues, bridal bouquets go from picture-perfect posies to over-sized daring designs; even the catering changes, gone are fresh and light courses and we read more about warming and hearty roasts, and rich-flavoured big-day bakes.
This issue we have a host of inspiration whatever month you tie the knot. Our fashion spreads provide the perfect balance, boho beauties versus glamorous must-haves, as does our honeymoon pages showcasing travel options for stay-at-home-lovers and for jet-setters.
We think our real weddings offer inspiration aplenty of how to plan the big day your way, and the styled shoots gives you so many ideas to think about – best grab your pen and pad! We hope you enjoy reading this issue as much as we’ve enjoyed compiling it together for you!
Pull up a chair, pour a brew and happy reading! | |

Beautiful Barns |
|
Grendon Court Barn
Grendon Court Barn is a 16th-century tithe barn that has been beautifully refurbished; with polished concrete floors, elegant roof beams, glass doors and slit windows that are individually illuminated. The barn is situated among former farm buildings and looks out over the stunning Herefordshire countryside.
There are several locations where the wedding ceremony can take place; either inside the barn, outside on the lawn or in a marquee attached to the barn, according to the couple’s desires.
The venue has a gallery equipped for media productions and the barn is temperature-controlled with underfloor heating and a fully equipped kitchen, toilet and shower block.
Grendon Court Gardens are close to the barn and can be used for wedding photos or drinks receptions. They’re designed by Tom Stuart Smith over two levels boasting a combination of herbaceous plants and grasses that offer interest throughout the year.
The reception can be held either in the barn or outside on the lawn, or a combination of both, for up to 150 loved ones.
Multiple features make this venue stand out, the spectacular building with beautiful interior window lighting, rural views and a firepit for the evening celebrations. A ceremony licence is expected imminently, so watch this space!
