They say wedding season is typically over the summer months, however, I think autumn and winter nuptials are actually coming in to their own. I’m super excited to see the pastel colour palettes change to warm, earthy hues, bridal bouquets go from picture-perfect posies to over-sized daring designs; even the catering changes, gone are fresh and light courses and we read more about warming and hearty roasts, and rich-flavoured big-day bakes.
This issue we have a host of inspiration whatever month you tie the knot. Our fashion spreads provide the perfect balance, boho beauties versus glamorous must-haves, as does our honeymoon pages showcasing travel options for stay-at-home-lovers and for jet-setters.
We think our real weddings offer inspiration aplenty of how to plan the big day your way, and the styled shoots gives you so many ideas to think about – best grab your pen and pad! We hope you enjoy reading this issue as much as we’ve enjoyed compiling it together for you!
Pull up a chair, pour a brew and happy reading! | |

Moddershall Oaks
Moddershall Oaks is a purpose-built building designed to blend in with the adjacent old farmhouse, with characteristics typical of the Staffordshire area perfect for a rustic country wedding.
The interior space is flowing with natural lighting and contemporary Swarovski crystal stars, Italian chandeliers and starlitbackdrop. This sets the perfect scene for a wedding whilst the rest of the venue remains a neutrally decorated space for a couple’s own colour scheme and wedding decorations. The Bose sound system and well-stocked bar combined with entertainment will create the perfect ambience for the celebrations!
The grounds at Moddershall Oaks are one of the many highlights, alongside a private woodland is a lake brimming with wildlife, lilies and fish, becoming a peaceful and serene place for guests and picture-perfect wedding photographs.
Ceremonies take place either inside the venue or outside by the lake which provides a stunning backdrop for vows, both options can accommodate up to 130 guests. The wedding breakfast and evening reception are held inside and can host 175 evening guests. The courtyard is perfect for an evening barbecue or simply just an as extra breakout space for guests to relax.
A complimentary menu tasting is included, as well as an overnight stay on the night of the wedding for the bride and groom. Also included is a bottle of champagne, breakfast, lunch, a 25-minute massage and full use of the spa facilities on the first day of married life!
