Lilleshall House and Gardens

Lilleshall House and Gardens is nestled in secluded surroundings in the Shropshire countryside. Built in 1831, the property is the former home and hunting lodge of the Duke of Sutherland and overlooks the Grade II listed Capability Brown inspired gardens. The venue is a grand stately heritage site with historical features from oak-panelled walls in the reception area to original fireplaces and decorative ceilings in the 29 newly refurbished bedrooms.

Couples will approach from the north via the Golden Gates which are exact replicas of those adorning Buckingham Palace. The 70-foot high obelisk visible from Chapters and standing on Lilleshall Hill was built in 1833 in memory of the 1st Duke of Sutherland.

Couples get married in the traditional oak-panelled Duke of Sutherland Room. Formerly the dining room of the Duke and Duchess of Sutherland, it boasts a feature fireplace and bay windows overlooking the beautiful gardens with room for 60 loved ones.

Receptions are held in Chapters, the Duke of Sutherland’s former library, which features oak-panelled walls and a feature fireplace. From here, guests will enjoy extensive views over the Italian and Dial Gardens and have access to the garden terrace.

Following the celebrations, lovebirds will take a short walk up the grand staircase where they will have a choice of two bridal suites.

Zoe Lloyd has reached the finals of the West Midlands Wedding Industry Awards

Hair and make-up specialist, Zoe Lloyd has reached the West Midlands Wedding Industry Awards Regional Finals in both 2020 and 2021. Zoe tells us: "Styling my brides on their wedding day is one of my favourite things to do. When I opened the E-mails, I was blown away. As a small business, I didn't expect to make the cut never mind the regional finals! To date, this is my proudest and highest achievement in my career. Although I didn't win my category for bridal hair, I'm still so grateful to have gotten as far as I did and to have been recognised by an awarding body in the industry.
