In October 2020, award-winning wedding business Caviar & Chips was granted permission to renovate the Grade II listed property nestled in 8,500 acres of Shropshire countryside into a luxurious, exclusive wedding venue. Opening in 2022, the property was built in 1702 as a rectory to the church of St Chad’s. Stockton House was part of the Apley Estate, dating back to the pre Civil War era. Caviar & Chips aim to bring Stockton back to life with the help of interior design firm Hatton & Harding by constructing seven luxurious en-suite double bedrooms and a 100 seater secret walled garden dining room. The new interiors for the house will stay true to its Georgian design, but with added boldness, confidence and beauty.
Couples can get married at the church, in the secret walled garden room, the main house or the gardens. Every detail of the day can be made bespoke - all the way down to the menu.
