Charlecote Pheasant Hotel unveils luxury tipis set on a five-acre event site

Warwickshire locals, including brides- and grooms-to-be, are being offered the opportunity to explore the wedding and event facilities at The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel, including the first viewing of a five-acre outdoor event site complete with luxury tipis.

From 11am to 4pm on Friday 19th – Sunday 21st November the hotel will throw open its doors to the public for its first open weekend since it came under the new ownership of Vine Hotels in August 2020.

In addition to the hotel’s existing indoor event facilities, visitors will be allowed to explore a spectacular temporary event structure, especially created using four giant interconnecting tipis. All will be dressed to illustrate how weddings and parties could be designed within the spaces. Complimentary refreshments will be available. General manager of The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel, Alice Davies said: “We are already lucky enough to have first-class facilities at the hotel suitable for events of all shapes sizes, as well as excellent transport links to the surrounding areas. On top of this, we are excited to unveil a five-acre outdoor space with breathtaking views of the Warwickshire countryside, that, until now, has never been utilised to its full potential. 

“We know events that fuse indoor and outdoor spaces are becoming hugely popular, so we sought out a partner who could deliver flexible, temporary outdoor event solutions to meet this need, and of course, to make the most of the beautiful setting. Rob Smith from Katachiefs, a Midlands-based company that specialises in luxury tipis for weddings and celebration events, said: “There is something truly magical about an event inside a tipi. The hotel offers a choice of up to six event rooms, all with natural daylight. A tour will allow guests to view the wedding and party facilities, including The Hampton Suite and Garden Pavilion, both of which are licensed for civil ceremonies. The Hampton Suite is situated within the hotel grounds and is the old hayloft which dates to the 16th century. It's completely self-contained and includes a reception lounge, private outdoor seating, and a function room with a bar area. Plus, ample on-site parking.

The Charlecote Pheasant is situated in the pretty Warwickshire village of Charlecote, close to Stratford-Upon-Avon, just four miles from the M40 and 18 miles from Birmingham Airport. The hotel was originally Benham’s Farm, dating back to the 16th century, and is a venue that exudes charm with its original beams, character furnishings and exposed brickwork.
