We spoke to the team at Dunchurch Park Hotel to find out more about the property.
Q – Tell us about your venue.
Dunchurch Park Hotel is an Edwardian country manor house. The estate itself dates back to 1767AD and is set within 72 acres of landscaped gardens. Both the house and gardens are Grade II listed, due to its connection with the highly respected international landscape gardener Thomas Mawson. Over its 250 year history, the estate has served many purposes, owned first by King George III, it subsequently became a hunting lodge before finding its way as a preparatory school for the sons of gentlemen, and then to the hotel we now know and love.
Q – What services do you offer?
We cater for intimate weddings right up to a guest list of 450 and conferences, meetings and events from two to 350 delegates. We also have the most amazing chef who delights in serving the very best cuisine in the area. We also put on seasonal events and are well known for our themed parties. Throughout the summer, we open our Secret Garden Café and provide free entertainment alongside great food.
Q – What should couples expect when visiting the venue?
Couples will fall in love with the venue as soon as they arrive, it has a Mr Darcy appeal, right out of Jane Austen's 1813 novel Pride and Prejudice. From the original turning circle for the arrival of carriages to the portico entrance, the exterior of our beautiful manor house coupled with the backdrop of lush green lawns and sparkling lake make for some amazing wedding photos. We are also able to offer a choice of seven ceremony locations and are licensed by Rugby Registrars.
Q – How long before the wedding should couples get in touch?
We are already planning for 2023 weddings so as soon as possible.
Q – What's your favourite part of the job?
Getting to know the couples, we have been blessed and lucky to have hosted weddings for some amazing, and in some cases, inspirational couples, during the lead up to the big day, we are on hand to help ensure the planning and big day is as stress-free and memorable as possible.
