Barnutopia opened in 2015 as a glamping suite with three Mongolian yurts. Following a successful planning application to expand as a wedding and events venue, the first wedding happened in 2017. Since then, owners Katrina and Steve Boydon have continued to improve and add to the site.

Approaching through the main gates, guests are greeted by a long red brick stable block dating back to 1892. The event barn opens directly onto the yurt field with spectacular views of the Shropshire and Powys countryside. All parts of the site are easily accessible, including the nine luxury glamping units, two fully-equipped kitchens and bathroom block with unlimited hot water. All glamping units are fully furnished with beds, power, heating and free Wi-Fi. The horse, donkeys, pigs, dogs and cats complete the farmyard experience and provide photo opportunities.

Celebrate in style
Getting married at Barnutopia is a fun and memorable experience. The event barn was unused for 10 years until Katrina and Steve took over and is now licensed for wedding ceremonies. Couples may decorate the light and airy space as they wish and enjoy their day with up to 120 friends and family.

Many couples choose the yurt field with the impressive Gyrn Moelfre as the backdrop for their outdoor ceremony. The dell offers an alternative outside setting next to a stream, which is on the England and Wales border.

Inside is the farmhouse dining room, a licensed space that can hold eight guests.

Receptions usually take place in the events barn, but informal catering works well under the Dutch barn or on the yurt field.

We love...
The standard residential event package includes the entire site and all the accommodation. There is flexibility on pricing to accommodate 15 to 120 guests and couples can customise their big day with the Build Your Own Wedding Package option.
