Dating back to 1722, Blakelands Country House is nestled within 10 acres of formal Victorian gardens, orchards and lakes with views as far as Client Hills. Walled gardens, an enchanted lake walk and the kitchen gardens create an exciting backdrop for wedding photographs. Boasting a mixture of forma architecture and converted outbuildings, the grounds offer a wealth of space and discovery. The property is a mixture of Georgian interiors and original oak-framed barns, combining original features with contemporary finishes.
Celebrate in style
There are three spaces available for weddings. The Main House is the original hall with flagstone flooring, roaring fires, a staircase and room for 40 guests.
Outdoor services are held in the Victorian Walled Garden and Bandstand. The Victorian walls and large trees create a wonderful atmosphere with space for 120 friends and family.
Maltings Barn with its enormous ceilings, oak king beams and iron chandeliers are ideal for a romantic ceremony. It’s capable of holding 100 loved ones for the service and 200 for the evening celebration.
The on-site bridal suite with an original Art Deco bathroom is available for the night of the wedding. All couples are also invited six months before the wedding for a tasting experience to ensure every detail of the day is perfect.
