The most popular wedding foliage 2022 revealed
Wow, 2022 was quite the year for weddings with a bumper amount taking place. Looking back at what was...
We interview local photographer, Robyn Francesca.
Q – Tell us about your background – how did you become a photographer?
I've always had a strong passion for photography from an early age, flicking through the books of famous photographers such as Marc Hom, Mario Testino and Annie Leibovitz. After graduating from Art College, it was ever more apparent to me that a photography career was the way forward.
Q – What packages do you offer couples?
There are three wedding packages that I offer to my clients that range in price and specification. These can be viewed on my website: www.robynfrancesca.co.uk/prices. I can cater to any of my couples' needs and am open to suggestions of how you'd like your special day documented.
Q – What should couples expect when booking your services?
There are many aspects of planning a wedding that are incredibly stressful, so I make sure the process of booking myself as the wedding photographer runs super smooth. I feel I have a very calming presence and like to put my future bride and groom at ease when speaking with me.
Q – What's your favourite wedding that you've worked on and why?
I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Elms Hotel in Abberley, Worcestershire. The grounds were absolutely stunning, the newly-renovated rooms are to die for, and the pergola situated at the back of the building is so pretty! All these different elements made for the dreamiest wedding photographs ever.
Q – How long before the wedding should couples book?
Between nine to 12 months so that there are no disappointed couples. I also send out a sort of "activity pack" for future bride and groom to fill out for me, simply addressing a bit about themselves, the style of photographs they wish to achieve and all the nitty-gritty boring bits too, such as the location of the wedding, names of the groomsmen, bridal party etc. This is such a great help for me and gives the couple the opportunity to cover every little aspect and detail of the big day.
Q – What's your favourite part of the job?
Capturing loving, emotional, raw moments on the big day that can be documented in a stunning wedding album to be cherished forever. Handing over the finished product is such a fantastically rewarding moment for myself, and seeing the couples' reaction always fills my heart with such joy and pride.
Q – Do you have any top tips for couples looking for a wedding photographer?
View the photographer's work inside and out. Is it a composition style that you like? Is the post-production editing to your taste? Are they within your budget and is there room to negotiate? Remember, the big day is not a dress rehearsal, and it can only happen once. Picking the right photographer for you is so important, and I feel it should not be compromised either. I've known couples that become rather disappointed with their photographs when they come back from their chosen photographer, and to me, I feel that there is nothing worse. Choose wisely!
