Blakelands Country House is nestled within 10 acres of formal Victorian gardens and orchards with views as far as Client Hills. This historic property dates back to 1722 and boasts beautiful Georgian interiors, oak framed barns and contemporary finishes. With a mixture of both forma architecture and converted outbuildings, the venue’s grounds has a wealth of space to discover. Couples can take photographs in the walled gardens, enchanted lake walk and kitchen gardens to name just a few.
The bridal suite proudly offers its original Art Deco bathroom, which is an enormous suite with luxurious up-to-date accessories alongside a sense of history, tradition and romance.
Celebrate in style
There are three spaces available for weddings. The Main Hall was used as the original hall and has flagstone floors, roaring fires and room for 40 guests.
Alternatively, the Victorian Walled Garden and Bandstand are available. Couples can also tie the knot in the beautiful lawns surrounded by nature with 120 of their friends and family.
Maltings Barn, with its large ceilings, oak king beams and iron chandeliers is available for up to 100 loved ones for the vows, 120 for a seated wedding breakfast and 200 for the reception.
We love...
The in-house team offer a full and comprehensive service, and couples are invited six months before the wedding for a tasting experience, giving further opportunity to talk through all front of house arrangements for their big day. Each couple will also receive the venue’s bear mascot, Bertie, as a lovely reminder of their special day.
