Barnutopia has a long history and was originally an army hut at Park Hall Army Camp outside Oswestry. The barn was later moved to Tanycoed Farm in the 1970s and was used as a space for cattle barn. The current owners then took over the property in 2015 after it had stood empty for 20 years. Following a successful planning application to expand as a wedding venue, the owners have continued to add to the site to create a luxurious setting.

The barn is wood-clad on one side and connects to the open- sided Dutch barn on the other. There are large sliding doors that open directly onto the yurt field that offer views of the Gyrn Moelfre and breathtaking Shropshire countryside.

Celebrate in style
The Yurt Field and The Dell aren’t licensed for ceremonies but can each accommodate 120 guests. The Event Barn is also available with room for 120 friends and family.

Couples that choose to tie the knot outside can retire to the Farmhouse Dining Room to complete the legal component of their wedding. This charming space can accommodate up to eight nearest and dearest.

For 2021, Barnutopia has set up a tiered headcount package that can accommodate up to 15 for micro weddings, 30 for mini-celebrations, 45 for midi-nuptials and 100 for maxi weddings. Couples may book the micro option and increase as and when restrictions related to COVID-19 are relaxed.

Barnutopia’s glamping village has yurts, cabins and a campsite with room for 40 residential guests or 120 with the festival package. All nine luxury glamping units, two fully-equipped kitchens and bathrooms are easily accessible. There are also on-site horses, donkeys, pigs, dogs and cats that create a rustic atmosphere. The team offer a range of retreat, event and festival packages to help couples plan the perfect day.
