Are we all longing for more romance?

couple drink champagne in a kitchen lit up by fairylights Ahhh 'romance', here at County Wedding Magazines HQ we are, of course, suckers for a classic, romantic love story! Apparently, a quarter of Brits (24%) are to, and admit they are longing for a little more romance in their life, according to new research from luxury UK jewellery retailer Goldsmiths - who also looked at the UK's perception of romance in their own lives as well as the films they favour when they're looking for a little bit of love!
The UK's top 10 go-to romantic films boasted an eclectic mix of old and new cinema:
1. Titanic (1997)
2. Love Actually (2003)
3. Pretty Woman (1990)
4. Dirty Dancing (1987)
5. Notting Hill (1999)
6. The Notebook (2004)
7. Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)
8. Casablanca (1942)
9. A Star is Born (2018)
10. Love Story (1970)

Goldsmiths also asked the British public how much romance they had in their own lives. Bristol was found to be the UK's most romantically-starved city, with 39 per cent of residents admitting they're always dreaming of more romance in their lives. Comparatively, Edinburgh was found to be the UK's most romantically satisfied city, with over a third (36%) stating they are happy with the romance levels in their lives.
