We spoke to Stephanie Kyles from Stephanie Kyles Bridal to find out more about her business.

Q – Tell us about your company.

"Stephanie Kyles Bridal was established in 2012 specialising in bespoke bridal design and bridalwear alterations. Recently I started Stephanie Kyles Bridal - Designs Reloved, Selling pre-owned wedding dresses on behalf of past brides. I believe sustainable fashion needs to be addressed in the wedding industry and as wedding dresses are only worn for a few hours on the wedding day, they have plenty of life left in them. Using my specialist dressmaking knowledge, I can show new brides how these dresses can be transformed into their dream dress that they've been looking for and with reusing past designs we can help make a small difference to the sustainable fashion movement, slowing down the mass production of fast fashion which is affecting the world we live in."

Q – What collections or styles do you stock?

"As well as my own designs I stock a range of pre-owned wedding dresses from sizes six to 30 which I sell on behalf of past brides. The stock can change each week. I also offer a bespoke design service."

Q – What can brides expect when they visit your store?

"My home-based studio is a relaxed space. I work on an appointment-only basis so my time is exclusively to you. Working together we will talk through what you're looking for in your dream wedding dress. I can show you how we can transform a dress from the Designs Reloved collection using fabrics and sketches so you can see your unique dress developing in front of your very eyes. If you're looking for something even more special, again using fabrics and sketches I can help design your very own bespoke dress."

Q – What's your favourite dress and why?

"I honestly don't think I have an answer for that - I love all wedding dresses. It comes down to the right dress for the right person. If it suits the bride's personality and venue, fits absolutely perfectly then I love it. Having said that, I do love a dress that might be a little unusual from the norm, you can see that in my own designs."

Q – What are your top tips for brides-to-be looking for their wedding dress?

"Try on all styles of dresses to get an idea of what you like, but just remember you are not limited to what you see in front of you. All dresses can be worked on, embellished, reduced, made to suit you. You need to work with a seamstress or dressmaker for that. Finding a good seamstress is just as important as finding your dress."
