Macdonald Ansty Hall has seen a increase in enquiries after launching wedding packages created specially to help couples affected by lockdown

Macdonald Ansty Hall has seen a 25 per cent spike in enquiries after launching a series of flexible wedding packages created specially to help couples tie the knot following lockdown.

Following its re-opening last month, the four star venue had responded to a significantdemand, and has re-shaped its offering to accommodate a range of wedding requests, creating a magical experience in a romantic and safe environment.

In line with government guidelines, intimate ceremonies can now be held in front of a small group of family and friends, and the venue is offering the potential to hold this small ceremony now with a larger reception at a later date. These ‘sequel weddings’ have been particularly popular with the venue, with wedding co-ordinators working closely with couples to plan not one, but two special days.

Demand is also growing for ‘shift weddings’ which mean couples do not have to compromise on guest numbers, hosting one group of family and friends for the ceremony and another for an extended wedding breakfast the following day.

Bookings for larger weddings in 2021/2022 are also on the rise, and the hotel is seeing increased bookings for up to 100 guests in its Rose Room.

The impact of COVID-19 can also be seen with couples preferring to book a wedding with the safety and security of everything under one roof rather than having to liaise with multiple suppliers at this challenging time. The hotel can also easily and quickly adapt its offering in line with changing government guidelines.

Kelly Fulong, the wedding coordinator at Macdonald Ansty Hall, said: “The last few months have created a lot of uncertainty within the wedding market, but we are now seeing a marked  rise in consumer confidence. This period of lockdown gave us all time to reflect on what is most important to us, and couples are still focused on showcasing their love and commitment to one in other in front of family and friends and are happy to adapt so their special day can still happen.

“Your wedding is one of the most special days of your life and we give a promise to each of our couples that we will do everything we can to create the day they have always dreamed of. As we navigate these unprecedented times, it is the ability to be flexible which will get us through. Macdonald Ansty Hall is one of our most romantic wedding venues, with a range of function rooms available. Couples also have the option to tie the knot outside in our beautifully serene gardens."

Macdonald Ansty Hall provides a romantic setting with every step through its eight acres of gardens and parkland offering views across the Warwickshire countryside. Winner of West Midlands Romantic Wedding Venue 2019 and part of the leading hotel group Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, the hotel can provide a spectacular backdrop for the special day.
