Laura Ashley Hotel The Iliffe, Coventry is a stunning example of Victorian architecture surrounded by three acres of attractive landscaped gardens. The land, which the property is located on, boasts a colourful history dating back to 1257 and was once owned by King Henry VIII.

The hotel was originally constructed as a mansion house in 1897, built in a bold Victorian style but embellished with a mock Tudor façade with Gothic Revival influences. A common practice in those days was placing an iron or terracotta ‘dragon’ on the roof, supposedly to protect the children of the house and bring general good fortune, today The Iliffe’s dragon still proudly sits on the front gable.

The Iliffe’s elegant interiors showcase the Laura Ashley Home range and its exquisite, high-quality inherently British fabrics and furnishings throughout. Every part of the hotel has been redesigned drawing inspiration from the hotel’s Victorian heritage, with carefully selected rich colours which complement each other and luxurious furnishings to create an elegant space to entice comfort and relaxation.

For ceremonies of 90, The Iliffe offers a beautifully landscaped garden which can be set up for a stunning outdoor ceremony with the aisle dressed in lavender flowers and a stand set up under the bandstand for an intimate ceremony.

The Oak Room (for up to 90 guests) is an elegant Laura Ashley designed room featuring a large window allowing the light to flood in and offers the beautiful backdrop of The Iliffe’s three acres of landscaped gardens, it’s available for ceremonies and wedding breakfast.

The Willows Restaurant (90 ceremonies and wedding breakfasts) offers scenic views of the hotel’s landscaped gardens through the original mullioned windows of the Victorian manor house. The restaurant’s design is inspired by the hotel’s Victorian heritage and features an ornate fireplace which adds to the restaurant’s timeless charm.

Cedars offers a large open space perfect for evening receptions of all sizes (up to 130). Its large size and capacity allow for a variety of table layouts with space for a dancefloor, and the wedding party also have access to a private, newly fitted bar.

When tying the knot here couples benefit from a complimentary menu tasting prior to the wedding and an anniversary stay one year after the wedding date (subject to availability).
