A wonderful event took place last week for all the couples who booked their 2019 wedding at Nailcote Hall. Sixty couples headed to the venue for its annual Bride of the Year competition, where this year Nailcote Hall not only announced it's soon-to-be 2,000th wedding as the randomly picked over all winners, alongside prizes for an additional five couples set to wed there in the up-and-coming year.
The winning couple Siobhan and Earl, who had booked their nuptials this October, were completely shocked and stunned at their win, having just bagged £5,000 off the price of their big day, along with many other prizes kindly donated by suppliers of Nailcote Hall. Including, photography by Peter Blanchflower, toast master services from Howard Jones, venue decor by Wedding Wishes, a cake by Cake Design by Pamela and a Magnum of Champagne from Berkman Wines. Siobhan, a domestic supervisor and Earl a local government administrator, live in Coventry and met at school after Earl's family had moved to the area from the capital. They soon became best friends, but the path of true love only came a few years ago when all of their close friends agreed they were destined to be together.
Earl proposed during a Halloween Weekend in 2017 at Whitby Abbey, as Siobhan is a very keen horror movie and literature fan and Earl knew that she would love the famous ruins which were the inspiration for Bram Stoker's fictional Dracula.
When looking for a venue for their big day Nailcote Hall was chosen particularly for the historic building and the grand staircase but more importantly they had a feel good feeling from the staff that greeted them who they both felt were like a family, warm and inviting.
Rick and Sue Cressman owners of Nailcote Hall along with the staff wish the pair every happiness and are looking forward to congratulating Siobhan and Earl on their special day. Now the search for the Nailcote's Bride of the Year, 2020, begins.
