Crèche Services & Babysitting
Hands-on harp experience for children during drinks reception.
Musical entertainment for children aged 5 and over, with several small harps available to play with the help of experienced harpist helpers.
This can take place in the same area as the drinks reception, or in another part of the venue. At least one parent/guest would need to be present, or more if desired. All legal checks carried out.
Entertainment
Helen Barley Harpist
Background music on the harp provides the perfect relaxing and romantic atmosphere for your guests to enjoy at your drinks reception or photo shoot. For outdoor receptions, the harp is especially suitable, as my carbon fibre ones can withstand any extremes of weather, and are light enough to easily move around to wherever you want. From larger, formal harps to smaller carbon fibre ones, you can choose the most suitable for your wedding.
For your wedding Breakfast, a mixture of songs with the harp or harp-only pieces gives a good variety of music, and there will be something to everyone’s taste. Amplification can be provided if required.
Music (Ceremony)
Helen Barley Harpist
Whether your wedding ceremony is indoors or outdoors, I can provide all the music you require for the different parts of the ceremony. My carbon fibre harps will ensure that bad weather will not affect the music, as they can be played come rain or shine.
For the Civil Ceremony, I can play quiet, relaxing music as the guests take their seats, followed by something more exciting for the entrance of the bride. There is then the possibility of having a song in place of one of the ceremony readings. There are many beautiful, suitable songs, or you may have your own favourite, which I could learn for you. Music for the signing of the register could again be your favourite music and then you will need another piece for the exit of bride and groom.
Music for a church service is as above, with the addition of harp music to accompany the hymns if required.
I offer a choice of harps, from concert size to smaller more easily portable ones. They can be seen on the accompanying photos or at my home in Kinver by arrangement.
Couples are welcome to visit me for a free home consultation to help them choose their music and hear what works well on the harp.
