I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working on this issue of Your West Midlands Wedding. It’s full to the brim of inspiration from across the region. Couples looking to tie the knot in this area are really spoilt for choice, from a city-chic wedding in Birmingham, to countryside nuptials in Worcestershire there’s a variety of locations to suit whatever your tastes. That’s what this issue really highlights, the contrast of modern urban settings with beautiful countryside surroundings.
From the real weddings to the styled shoots, the photography feature to our fashion pages, we’ve got inspiration in abundance for city or country-lovers alike.

Soho House
This elegant 18th-century country house – once the home of the famous Industrialist, Matthew Boulton – has been beautifully restored and reflects the fashions and tastes of the late Georgian period. The all white Neo-Classical design elements feature iconic columns which hold up the porch roof and decorate the façade of the house. The grounds boast a beautiful suburban garden which has been created using evidence from Boulton’s own archive and also features the Hermitage which was built to give him somewhere to retreat to for quiet contemplation.
Inside, the Dining Room at Soho House is also known as the Lunar Room as it was the meeting place of the Lunar Society. Ceremonies take place here with up to 34 loved ones. Couples also have the option of al fresco nuptials. Post-vows, receptions take place in the Event Space which can hold 52 people for seated dining or 110 for a standing buffet.
