June/July 2020

When writing this, we’re about eight weeks in to what we now know is ‘lockdown’ and I, along with the rest of the country, and the world, have found it to be an emotional roller-coaster. Of course, nothing compares to what our wonderful NHS and key workers face each day, however, we’re all doing our best to keep our own little bubble moving and safe!

This issue, it’s been wonderful working with local suppliers and couples, supporting both through this time, and fingers, toes and everything crossed we start to see our wonderful world of weddings come back to us slowly but surely!

For some true escapism, this edition is packed to the brim with lovely inspiration for planning your wedding during lockdown and beyond; we have delicious cake designs over on page 83 and some stunning bridal boutiques from 71 to 75. The shoots this issue are oh-so romantic from pages 51 to 59; and check out the real weddings of Rachel and Rob, Emily and Kerry, Robyn and Garnaud, and Helen and Ross to see how they turned their big-day dreams in to reality.

Please do get in touch if you’re a business looking to share any news about your company during this unprecedented time; or perhaps you’re a couple that has had to postpone your wedding, or maybe you’re holding a wedding despite the upcoming restrictions and want to share your stories with us, email me at danielleh@county.wedding

Curl up on your sofa with a brew and biscuit and enjoy this issue!

In addition, there are magnificent outdoor spaces, a terrace, lakes and water features to create the perfect backdrop for a wedding. Home to 319 sumptuous bedrooms and suites, The Belfry Hotel & Resort oozes style and elegance by combining luxury and grandeur with a contemporary design and modern touches whilst also retaining its charm and heritage.

When tying the knot here couples can opt for one of six spaces for the ceremony. For larger affairs The Woodland Suite, The Warwick Suite, and The Wishaw Suite can accommodate 410, 310 and 200 guests respectively. With standout features including dedicated bars, chandeliers and stunning views each suite is exemplary; The Woodland Suite is an exclusively contained suite set within the grounds with 48 Woodland Lodge bedrooms close by!
