Stanbrook Abbey Hotel

Stanbrook Abbey Hotel is a former Grade II listed monastery which dates back to the early 16th-century. The property still retains many of its original features, including dramatic stone cloisters, Gothic-stained glass windows and a 100ft bell tower. Standing at the foot of the Malvern Hills, the venue is situated within a 26 acres estate, with plenty of places to explore, including a path lined with weeping willows, a tranquil and secluded lake and well kept walled gardens.

The hotel recently underwent a multi-million-pound renovation which introduced The Refectory restaurant and eight new bedrooms on the second floor and a further seven in the original schoolhouse bringing the grand total to 70 bedrooms.

The former chapel, Callow Great Hall, is the ideal setting for traditional weddings with a captivating history and charming décor that would make a grand backdrop for any celebration.

Small nuptials are best suited to the cosy East Room, which has an open fireplace, oak-beamed ceiling and room for 30 loved ones.

St Anne’s Hall can also be used. Couples will have use of the space, Library Bar and balcony where up to 70 guests will able to relax and enjoy the views.

Alternatively, the Brides Manor Lounge is available. Connected to the church via a cloister and close to the tranquil garden of remembrance, the lounge of this Georgian style manor house has private access and is perfect for cosy ceremonies.

A stone’s throw from the picturesque Willow Lake is the Garden Pavilion, it offers impressive views and can seat up to 300 friends and family.

Lush has launched Confetti perfume!

Lush has launched Confetti perfume!

An exclusive fragrance for spring which was first seen as part of the Lush's Florence collection, this infatuating floral fragrance was invented by Lush perfumer, Emma Dick and will be the fragrance she wears at her wedding this year.Emma began her Lush journey 21 years ago and is one of a close-knit family of perfumers for Lush. Emma's initial workings for this perfume were based on rose, violet, coffee and pear as a combination. When Lush co-founder Rowena smelt the perfume, she thought it smelt of sugared almonds (a pastel-coloured candy almond usually found as a gift on the table at British Weddings). In Italy they have the same tradition for celebratory events and the sugar almonds are known as Confetti - which was a perfect fit. This romantic scent is also featured in Lush's Renaissance Spa treatment and Renaissance Discovery Kit.

Decarde is a new Birmingham-based luxury and socially responsible British jewellery house. Decarde prides itself on its strong ethos of sustainability and responsibility, the jewellery house only uses lab grown diamonds in all designs. The debut collection gets its name from Vyse Street, the charming main street that runs through the Jewellery Quarter of Birmingham, where the house was first created. The owner tells us: "My goal was simple: to design jewellery that made women feel great - to make them feel beautiful without distracting from their own beauty - and to uphold a high standard of sustainability in doing so.
