April/May 2019 |
|
Every year I sit impatiently waiting for the announcement of Pantone’s Colour of the Year to drop into my inbox. It always gives me an insight into what’s going to be big in the world of weddings for the next 12 months in terms of décor, stationery, flowers and dresses – the list goes on. And boy did 2019’s colour live up to expectations – welcome to the year of Living Coral! I can’t express my excitement for this versatile hue to be leading the colour palettes of upand- coming nuptials and couldn’t resist bringing together a selection of products to help you plan your on-trend colour scheme.
We’re dedicated to helping you have the nuptials of your dreams. Each page of our magazine is full with helpful tips, tricks and inspiration straight from some of the region’s finest experts.
This issue we have three fabulous real weddings, two strikingly gorgeous shoots, expert Q&A’s as well as a focus on the regions finest bridal boutiques and toe tapping music and entertainment.
Whatever season in which you choose to tie the knot, make sure you enter your big day on our Get Involved tab on yourwestmidlands. wedding for your chance to have your nuptials featured in the pages of the magazine. | |

Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery
A mere five-minute walk from both New Street and Snow Hill stations, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery is a Grade I* listed building in the heart of the city. It’s attached to the Council House and is immediately recognisable due to its classical portico entrance and prominent clock tower.
Ceremonies with up to 200 guests take place in the bright and airy Waterhall, which boasts high ceilings, Victorian architecture and walls adorned with fine art.
Receptions at the venue usually begin with drinks in the Round Room, which features an ornate glass-domed ceiling. This is followed by dinner for up to 140 of your loved ones in the Industrial Gallery, before moving onto the striking Edwardian Tearooms, which can accommodate up to 250 partygoers for DJs, live music and dancing. The Waterhall and Round Room are adorned with fine art. It’s also possible to request a visit to the Pre-Raphaelite or Staffordshire Hoard gallery as part of your wedding reception.
