Bridalwear boutiques in the West Midlands

Choosing your dream wedding dress is undeniably one of the most exciting parts of getting married and here's where West Midlands boutique owners and their teams can help you choose the perfect gown.

Your local West Midlands wedding dress boutique will typically stock a range of wedding dresses from both UK and international designers to suit your fashion style and budget. You will also receive expert knowledge and guidance on how to select complementing accessories for your big day including tiaras, veils, shoes and more.

It’s advisable to book a one-to-one appointment with a boutique so that you have time to view the collections on offer and try on any wedding gowns that you think might be the one!

Do take time to research styles that will flatter your figure, however, keep an open mind on suggestions that an advisor may make and benefit from their experience and knowledge of dressing West Midlands based brides-to-be.

Here’s some great wedding boutiques and shops in the West Midlands from places like Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Warwick, Shrewsbury and Stratford, whom you might want to get in touch with...

This trend has occurred from the ever-growing Pinterest boards and Instagram-worthy weddings. As a result, we are seeing the importance of our seamstresses more than ever. They work closely with our brides to help achieve exactly what they had envisioned.

The regency era of puff sleeves are making a comeback within the bridal industry, as are square necklines and clean line skirts that are ideal for a less is more theme. We are also noticing lots of new 2022/2023 gowns with 3D detailing, so we expect this will be the next big wedding dress trend.

The latest veil trends

There are many types of veils available, so start by considering what style will suit your dress. Do you want a dramatic opulent look or something more soft and delicate? A popular option is the single-tier lace-edged veil, which is one piece, with lace along the wide edge and gathered into a hair comb at the top. Similar to the Spanish mantilla veil, a single-tier veil without lace edging will suit most face shapes. Of course, single-tier long veils can also be exquisitely decorated with other details, such as satin, pearls, beading, embroidery or horsehair braid.

Popular dress styles for winter weddings

With winter just around the corner, no doubt brides-to-be are beginning to search for inspiration to create the perfect seasonal look. Most people think you need to go for fluffy fur shawls, velvet textures and bold red colour pallets, however, in line with this year's most popular bridal trend, we think a clean, simplistic gown is perfect for this time of the year. This blank canvas will allow you to have fun with your décor, so go wild with your styling or keep it bare with a woodland-inspired palette. We would style these gowns with a burst of colour in your flowers, bridesmaids' dresses or even a seasonal table.

How to incorporate a pop of colour into your wedding dress

There are so many ways that you can incorporate colour into your wedding dress. Most gowns come in different shades such as ivory, pinks, greys, blues and blacks. We also work with one of the best companies in the UK that allow us to make custom changes to our gowns, including the colour. If you're after a subtle hue, most seamstresses will be able to customise a gown by adding coloured thread, beads, fabrics or even crystals to your design. We often tell our couples that with a great seamstress the only limit to customising a gown is your imagination.
